Using the Accessible Information Management system (AIM)
Faculty can view and download a list of students enrolled in their class who are approved for DAO accommodations using AIM, DAO’s student management system. Only the first faculty name listed in my.harvard is shared with AIM. Faculty can add additional course staff, including Preceptors and Teaching Fellows, to AIM. Course staff will have the same level of access as faculty.
Instructions for logging into AIM
STEP 1: Log into AIM. You will be asked for your Harvard Key.
STEP 2: Read the FERPA agreement and click on Continue to View Student Accommodations.
STEP 3: On this page you will see an overview of your students, the main accommodations they requested (in abbreviated form), and whether an instructor linked to the course opened the accommodation plan through AIM (viewing the accommodation plan via email will not display here).
TIP: To download the list of students and their accommodations to a spreadsheet click on Export Student Lists and save a copy somewhere secure such as SharePoint. You will be given the option to include or exclude students who requested accommodaitons then cancelled the request (typically because they dropped the class).
Instructions for adding course staff to AIM
STEP 1: After logging into AIM, click on Add Instructor on the left-hand side menu.
STEP 2: On the next page, under Class select the course you want to add course staff to and under Type select Add Additional Instructor to the Course. Enter their name and email address. Then, click Add Instructor.
